What does detoxing mean?
Detoxing is the process of cleansing your body from toxic or unhealthy substances (ie. any food or drug that is unhealthy for your body). When detoxing, you're purifying your system which will also have a positive effect on your skin and overall health. Detoxing will also help to strengthen your immune system.
To help you detox, one item that should always be in your arsenal is matcha green tea.
Why should I detox with matcha?
Matcha’s vibrant color is derived from the chlorophyll which resides within the green tea leaf, known as a natural detoxifier. Although other green teas contain chlorophyll, matcha has a higher content because it is carefully grown in the shade which forces the tea leaf to produce more chlorophyll.
What is chlorophyll?
Chlorophyll detoxes the body by removing toxic metals that can destroy health, it increases the blood’s ability to provide oxygen and nutrients and cells within the body; it also cleanses the blood. Matcha also contains dietary fiber that controls blood sugar and suppresses the appetite.
